Writing has served several purposes for me.  The most significant of which is self-healing.   The term self-healing can suggest that something is innately wrong, or that something needs to be fixed.  (see: if it ain't broke, don't fix it).  This is not the case.  I find writing very therapeutic, calming, and it allows me time for self-reflection.   Writing gives me the opportunity to express my thoughts, desires, opinions, frustrations, questions and musings in the second most intimate manner possible.  I believe that by writing about my feelings, I can analyze them and take a more objective look at my decisions and decide for myself where I have succeeded and where I have failed.  The chance to assess where there is room for personal improvement and where I have excelled.
